New research shows that the number of work-at-home moms is finally on the rise. Lots of women and young mothers in the Philippines choose to leave their careers and become stay-at-ho

me moms. Though the transition from being a career woman to a full-time care provider is very challenging, more women still opt to leave work for their families.

However, childcare is expensive and most moms won't just rely on their hubby's income. So women start discovering alternative methods to generate money while still maintaining the hands-on mom role. Several moms took the opportunity of our modern technology through online jobs and transcend from being a stay-at-home to becoming a work-from-home or a freelancer mom and earn money without leaving her home.

Here are 3 Ideas to become a Work-from-home Mom:

Set up an Online Shop. You can start by creating a Business Page through Social Media Sites (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) or you can sign up on some online buy and sell platforms such Lazada, Shopee, Olx, and eBay. You can sell preloved clothes, shoes, bags, baby stuff, and other items that you don't use but are in good condition. If you are good at crafting and making handmade items such as personalized invitations, souvenirs, hair accessories, clothes, bags, and crocheted items they are a hit in the market and you can earn some cash by your artistry. Selling foods online is also popular today. Like if you are an awesome baker, you can sell cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other goodies by advertising through social media and get lots of orders.

Teach Online. Did you know that lots of foreign countries love to hire Filipinos as an ESL Teacher? Yes, Filipino freelancers are favorite online tutors because they can easily learn and speak English with a neutral accent. There are lots of home-based-online jobs on the internet and to name some they are 51talk, Acadsoc, RareJob, Online Jobs Ph, NativeCamp, and many more. So if you have a good English command and tools available for teaching you can apply and start teaching in the comfort of your home.

Be a FREELANCER. Your skills are not just limited to being a supermom. You also got skills from your previous jobs and skills you learned at school. You can use them by being a freelancer who offers services like Data Entry and Web Research. If you had past job experience in Human Resource and Administration, you can apply as a Virtual Assistant. And if your previous job was a Call Center Agent, Customer Service or Technical Representative is a good fit for you. Being an expert in Social Media is an edge for you to be a Social Media Manager/Marketer. Or if you don't have any experience at all, there are also companies that offer affordable Virtual Online Courses to beginners who want to be a freelancer.
